Jackie_Headshot V2At some point in any interview there is a time when you are expected to ask the interviewer questions about the position that you are applying for.  These questions help the interviewer understand how you think, show how prepared you are and can open up new avenues in the conversation allowing them to see more of who you really are.

How do you make the questions work for you?  Your objective for these question is to make sure the company is the right fit for you while at the same time you are actively selling yourself. Recently Talentive published 16 questions that you should be asking during your interview.  Here are a couple of interesting ones that you may not have thought of:

  • If I were to have extraordinary success in the first six months of my tenure, what would be some examples of what I would have accomplished?
  • How does upper management view our department / division?
  • What can you tell me about the prevailing management style here?
  • What are the best and worst aspects of the company’s culture?

Check out the rest of the Talentive questions and add them to your interviewing repertoire.
