First impressions are key to job interviews and, whether you like it or not, what you wear the first time you meet your potential new employers will have an impact on what they think of you. Dress The Part
If you want to be taken seriously in your new role then dress the part. Baby doll dresses or 6-inch wedges might be all the rage in fashion right now but if you show up to a professional interview dressed like a wannabe teen magazine model then you probably won’t make it past the first stage. It might seem boring, but serious is good during a job interview and a conservative outfit will win you more points that something trendy or risque and cute.
Avoid: jeans, dresses, trainers, shorts, too-high heels, risque outfits.
Keep It Simple
Speaking of risque, keep the sex appeal to a minimum. You might think it is a great idea to unbutton your shirt to distract from your lack of preparation but in no professional environment will this make a good impression.
