We spend the majority of our waking lives at work; it’s little wonder that so many of us yearn to make that time meaningful. We can’t all be scientists, doctors or politicians but working in the charity or not-for-profit sector allows people from all walks of life to work towards a positive change in the world.

Whether you’re a new graduate or looking to make a career change, the not-for-profit sector is proving an increasingly popular vocational destination. Traditionally this sector has been seen as a financial compromise and indeed, salaries lag behind the private sector, especially at the highest management levels.
