Harbor Homes Inc., of Nashua, NH hosted “Stand Down for our Veterans” an event held Wednesday October 21st to support the men and women who have served our country.
This was a great event that offered a wide variety of services to the attendees, along with a well organized job fair, there was a nice selection of coffee and pastries for the morning crowd, live entertainment complete with country western music, a terrific lunch for the afternoon crowd consisting of a Turkey dinner complete with all the fixings and pie for dessert, and finally free backpacks, toiletries, clothes and shoes.
There were a number of organizations that exhibited at the event, including:
- 2-1-1 New Hampshire an organization that connects callers, at no cost, to information about critical health and human services available in their community.
- State of NH Dept. of Health & Human Service
- Live United
- The New England Job Show was present to explain how we work to help job seekers and to meet with local area service organizations.
